Shoot in daylight

Natural light near a window beats any phone flash. Late morning and the hour before sunset are the most forgiving.

Clean the frame

Remove clutter, cables and anything that competes with the item. A plain wall or a wooden table is enough of a backdrop.

Show the flaws

A scratch photographed honestly costs you nothing; a scratch discovered at handover costs you the sale and the review.

Fill the frame

Get close. Ten tight shots beat thirty distant ones, and the gallery loads faster too.
